Minyak kenderan yang kita gunakan seharian diklasifikasikan sebagai RON (Reaserch Octane Number) yang mempunyai urutan nombor RON 84, 87, 91, 92, 95, 97 dan banyak lagi. Minyak kenderaan ini dihasilkan daripada campuran iso-octane, toluene dan benzene (benzena).

Pernomboran RON menunjukkan semakin tinggi nilai RON semakin banyak jumlah iso-octane yang terdapat di dalam minyak RON berkenaan. Ini bermakna, RON 97 lebih baik daripada RON 95 kerana RON 97 mempunyai kandungan octane lebih banyak daripada RON 95.

RON 95

Saya akui, saya tidak mengetahui secara lengkap formula minyak RON 95 Malaysia. Namun, sebagai ahli Kimia, saya boleh la membuat sedikit hipotesis mengenai kandungan RON 95 Malaysia.

RON 95 Malaysia pada amatan saya berbeza dengan RON 95 yang digunakan di negara Australia dan Eropah. Sebagai seorang ahli kimia, saya sangat biasa dengan bahan-bahan kimia. Pada amatan saya (maaf jika saya silap) RON 95 di Malaysia mengandungi kandungan benzena yang banyak.

Ini kerana semasa saya mengisi minyak RON 95, bau minyak tersebut lebih banyak berbau benzena. (saya biasa dengan bau benzena)…. Jadi saya menjangkakan bahawa kandungan RON 95 Malaysia mempunyai benzena yang tinggi.

Benzena mudah terbakar

Benzena adalah sebatian kimia organik dengan formula molekul C6H6. Benzena tergolong dalam kumpulan hidrokarbon aromatik, tidak berwarna dan sangat mudah terbakar. Kadar flash point benzena ialah -11 darjah celcius.

Sedangkan unsur lain dalam minyak RON 95 iaitu octane, walaupun mudah terbakar namun tidaklah semudah benzena iaitu kadar flash point octane adalah 4.5 darjah celcius, manakala flash point toluene adalah 4 darjah celcius.

Ini bermakna, RON 97 kurang mudah terbakar daripada RON 95 kerana kadar benzena RON 97 adalah lebih rendah daripada RON 95 sebab mempunyai kandungan octane yang tinggi. Sedangkan RON 95, sangat mudah terbakar kerana mempunyai kandungan benzena yang tinggi.

Itulah hipotesis yang dapat saya lakukan…(jika tersilap saya mohon maaf kerana saya juga manusia biasa yang tidak lari daripada kesilapan)

Harap pihak yang bertanggungjawab membuat kajian yang dalam kerana nyawa bukan benda yang boleh dibuat main walaupun ajal maut itu Allah SWT yang menentukannya.

oleh itu, sy syg kawan2 sy ni. kwn ni byk fungsinye, tmpat kite luahkan perasaan, bersembang, bergelak tawa, usik sana, usik sini, kongsi masalah, citarasa, hobi dan sebagainya.
kalau takde kawan, sure lah kite boring kan. hehehe.
